Meditation Techniques & Sessions
Meditation brings wisdom; lack of mediation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom. – Buddha
Meditation is a way for nourishing and blossoming the divine within you, and self-observation and self-inquiry are the first steps of that inner unfolding. Since all suffering is due to our disconnection with our Self, establishing that connection through meditation you become more you, a better you, a joyful you. We offer guidance on the experience of meditation and a harmonious time-space to support that practice.
Mindfulness meditation is a sitting stillness meditation. A Buddhist practice that brings one’s attention to the internal and external experiences occurring in the present moment, and can be developed through the practice of meditation. Each meditation session is a journey of discovery to understand the basic truth of who we are. In the beginning, the most important lesson of meditation is seeing the movements of the mind. What we are talking about is very practical. Mindfulness meditation practice is simple. And because we are working with the mind that experiences life directly, just by sitting and observing, we are doing the work. “Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet. It’s a way of entering into the quiet that’s already there – buried under the 50,000 thoughts the average person thinks every day.
Alternative Healing Therapies
Healing is a process of moving towards wholeness, a process through which we come to terms with the actuality of our situation, in the present moment. Healing may not be so much about getting better as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming comfortable with who you are. Not a better you, but a ‘realer’ you…
Our Alternative Healing Therapies space has a holistic and integrated approach to wellbeing seeking to create the harmony of the physical body-mind & psyche. Our aim is to support you in healing, centring and developing awareness.
Tibetan Bowl Sound Healing is profoundly relaxing. During the session, Tibetan Sound Bowls are placed around and on the person’s body. The practitioner then tabs on the bowls following specific rhythm. How Tibetan Bowl Sound Therapy Works? As the bowls vibrate, they send waves of vibration throughout the person’s body. Healing with Sound is one of the oldest and most natural forms of healing. External vibrations cause a sympathetic resonance in the cells. When tapping a singing bowl placed on our body, which consists of more than 70% of water, the sound transmitted causes the sound waves spread, alike the concentric waves from a stone dropped in a pond, through blood, flesh, organs and even bones, relaxing, harmonizing and energizing us. In this way all our body cells are receiving a gentle massage. In this way, sound can also release energy blockages through out the mind, body, and spirit.
Access Bars® is a process that allows your body to process and receive the changes you are choosing with ease. There are 32 points on our head which, when gently touched, effortlessly and easily release anything that doesn’t allow us to receive. These points contain all the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, emotions, and considerations we have stored in any lifetime. This is a possibility to let go of everything! This release occurs when the bars are touched; it allows that stored patterns to be released.
The Sanskrit word Chakra literally translates to wheel or disk. In yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, this term refers to wheels of energy throughout the body. There are seven main chakras, which align along the spine, starting from the base to the crown of the head. To visualize a chakra in the body, imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible energy, called Prana, is vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive. Our bodies are in constant flux between balance and imbalance. Unless you have an apparent problem in one area of the body, imbalances can be difficult to detect. That being said, it’s good to bring awareness to your body/mind and start to learn its signals and clues. Awareness to which of your chakras are out of balance is what this session is about.
The healing dance is a door to internal investigation. The goal is to give ourselves time to connect to the movement that comes from within, not from the head or our habits. If we just allow it, our body will lead us to movement. It’s a journey of listening to our body, to pay attention to our needs. We learn to be ourselves, to trust the body language, our senses and enjoy the freedom in movement within stillness. Then deep healing happens. A few things you can gain from the session – The ability to let go. – Reconnecting to your body and how you truly can dance again . – Listening – Connecting to what is happening now in this moment, to yourself, to the body . – How to move without effort, organically – All the inherent qualities we have. – To receive support. You can come to this session with an intention of breaking through, healing any issue, explore different possibilities, or just to let yourself dance freely. This is a guided movement session to free your body, relax the mind and allow your heart to lead the way.
DEVA: Inner work sessions
The Deva process is an emotional body clearing work that facilitates the energetic clearing of old habitual behavior patterns that, although we know intellectually we no longer need, we keep repeating anyway. Once these themes are cleared, we become free to manifest our full potential. The Deva Sessions provide inner experiences which may include past-life recall, significant present life memories, symbolic or allegorical stories and physical and emotional releases. By healing the old, you make way for the new. The Deva sessions are truly multidimensional. The Higher Self may guide you into an infinite variety of possible experiences.
This psychospiritual clearing work consists of a minimum of four sessions that last from two to three hours each. Additional sessions can be scheduled in one series or separately. Facilitator at Anapnoe Yoga Shala is Noa Simhony.
A deep restorative Yogic Sleep and transformative relaxation guided session that brings the individual into a space of greater awareness.Visualization is integrated within the practice. Best for those wanting to reduce stress and rejuvenate and restore balance. Yoga Nidra expands awareness, enhances creativity, memory and learning capacity, helps release repressed unconscious mental habits and increases will power. A single hour of Yoga Nidra is as restful as four hours of conventional sleep.
Anapnoe Yoga® is a slow, gentle, yet deeply grounding & strengthening Yoga practice that encourages the fluidity of the spine. Through deep long breathing, we explore the divine wisdom of natural movement that lies within. The movement & breath awareness liberates one’s body-mind from deep-rooted imprints.
Within Anatomical Alignment in Traditional Asana Practice we learn to explore our innate body wisdom and path to freedom from conditioning. In this experiential approach, Anapnoe Yoga®Awareness through the body incorporates a Mandala of Practices: Transformational Hatha Yoga & Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga & Yin-Rasa Yoga.
In Anapnoe Yoga practice we become more receptive, we find our body’s natural rhythm & expression. Movement unfolds from our core – to awaken the energy of the sun at the navel centre and expand outwards, in all directions. It is an Integral practice that cultivates presence through embodiment.
Sessions are rejuvenating and balancing practices (solar-lunar). The emphasis of the class is on fluidity through the breath and awareness through the senses-body. In every class, we move creatively through all groups of Asana creating full body transformation, circulation, centring & expansion. Chakra work, Pranayama, Mantra, Mudras, Yoga Nidra and Meditation are integrated into the practice.
The teaching of AnapnoeYoga® is based upon the ancient Hatha Yogic texts, which states that all fixed forms should be practised with the aim to develop free organic movement -unfolding from within- as a necessary step in the cultivation of longevity.
The set forms and sequencing of Anapnoe Yoga –Vinyasa Krama-contain within them all groups of asana ( body positions)and movements (Standing, Pumping, Sitting, Weighing, Lying, and Bending- in all directions- Inverting, Spiraling, Turning and Twisting) for the proper development and fluidity of the spine. All these combined with suitable rhythmic breathing, bring about the unfolding of inner-strength, harmony and awareness of the Self.
We begin with awareness through the body-mind because it’s important to start with the foundation where we understand not only how to build the yoga pose from the ground up but to stand on our own two feet. We learn to connect with our breath, observe our body and understand the relationship we have with ourselves and the impact our thoughts have on our health, wellness and life. Anapnoe Yoga is a yoga of awakening, an invitation to wake up, to release the tension, to move into vulnerability. To let go.
My intention is that by practising yoga, being committed to these mindful practices and doing the deep work that’s necessary on ourselves, we may develop the empathy necessary to be more loving, more truthful and more integrated human beings, to surrender to the Divine within and within all. And if we are open, to expand our perspective and understanding a way perhaps we hadn’t been able to realize before.
Wherever you are at, the invitation is just to simply breathe and be present with your experience, to open into something else, into something new. Then this practice will allow you to step into the next aspect of your own exploration.
Anapnoe Yoga is a yoga-inspired lifestyle, for modern, active women. We are committed to supporting and inspiring women to live passionate, authentic lives, loving who they are inside and out. We live our lives beyond.
I wish you joy. I wish you consciousness, I wish you the truth, I wish you, love,
